Since I’ll be off to Manila again second week of February for a Writers Festival thing, I’ll definitely spend more time in a bookstore like Fully-Booked to search for this must-have: “At Work” by one of my favorite photographers, Annie Leibovitz. Plus of course, I must look for that book where she wrote extensively about her romantic and intellectual relationship with one of my favorite essayists, the late Susan Sontag. “At Work” as the reviews go, promises to give you a peek into the artist photographer’s mind and creative process, something that I’d really like to read about aside from all the technical stuff. Photography is a way of seeing the world. It would be great to read a great photographer explain how she translates her way of seeing into works of art.
