Charles Barkely a politician?

Posted: October 29, 2008 in All and Sundry

I remember him as a burly yet graceful power forward and a NBA superstar during his time. A member of the Olympic Dream Team, no player can get pass him without having to contend with his defense. He was part of that historical time of the NBA, where players were not just celebrities but true blue basketball players. But as a politician? I can’t imagine Charles Barkley as a governor.

Read this and find out why I blogged about it.

  1. For a second there, I thought this was about Gnarles Barkley.

Anyway, Charles Barkley made comments about the possibility of having “the first black president” in an outdoor game between Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets. It was awkward listening to him talk about politics and racism in an exhibition game. I never thought he took the whole Bradley effect seriously. That’s weird. Racism really is out there. He thought Obama could be the first BLACK president.

  2. … and he thinks Steve Nash is in the trunk while Chris Paul is driving and Deron Williams is in the backseat. hmpf!

No real excuse to post this here except to get the money from CNN to someone who is deserving. Hope you don’t mind.

charles barkley is a riot. he says alot of things that make sense

as a politician i doubt he has the skillset to maneuver and watch things he says which will eventually come back to affect his chances of winning any seat
