Old school NBA in Mindanao

Posted: April 16, 2008 in All and Sundry

What has amused me recently?

In a bus terminal somewhere in Mindanao, early in the morning I watched a replay of 70s NBA game between Philadelphia and New York. Only in THIS CITY, I exclaimed to the amusement of fellow travelers. I saw the famous DR. J or Julius Irving in skimpy basketball shorts do old-school lay-ups and fade aways. Legendary moves there! It was a wonderful traveling experience that I think I won’t trade for anything less. I should blog about that experience next time or if time permits, write it down in a travel essay. *wink*
