Announcement:INWW 2007 Fellows

The Mindanao Creative Writers Group, Inc., administrator of the Iligan National Writers Workshop (INWW), announces the selection of the fifteen (15) writing fellows who compose this year’s batch of successful applicants to the 14th INWW. The workshop starts on May 21 in Iligan City. Keynote Speaker is award-winning poet Rebecca Anonuevo. Wrokshop Director is Christine Godinez-Ortega.

The workshop is supported by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in coordination with the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology.

*Two writers from UPMindanao got in the Iligan workshop this year. Congratulations to my former thesis advisee JC Duhaylungsod for making it. Aside from JC, Javin Tevar who’s an incoming Creative Writing sophomore in UPMin, also got accepted. That means he’s a student to look forward to or watch out for this coming semester. 🙂

Also, I’d like to send a greeting to my UP Workshop co-fellow Rommel Rodriguez for making it to Iligan. (Don’t know of this is the Rommel I know. But if it’s a mistake then congratulations anyway. ) 🙂
